The suv drives really smooth, dont realize how fast your going till you look at speedometer. Can hear some outside noise, all items are touch control, but you have a knob for volume, and some climate buttons. Only thing is I dont like, no CD player. All, safety extras can cause unwanted things to happen, so I turned them.off, too distracting. I wish instead of all radio options, like Apple car play, and such, they had a maps, navigation feature.

  • Quality and Style - 2017 Honda CR V

Its only been a month but so far I think it is well built. My grandfather used to tell me the quality of a car can be noticed in the way the doors close and it has a really nice solid feel when you close the doors. It is getting great gas mileage and when you feel like you need some pep all you have to do is shift into the sport mode otherwise leaving it in drive with the economy mode on is sufficient. I love the color blue on it! I hope the new turbo engine and the redesigned body will be reliable for many miles to come if so I will be a very happy camper!

Just boarded still learning about it. I haven’t learned to fully use all the instruments in the car. However at this point I am most impressed with the mileage and the comfort of driving it. The seats are comfortable this front space is comfortable and I really enjoy driving this car. I am still getting used to the rear backup camera and the lane boundaries on the car. But so far I am thoroughly enjoying the process of getting to know my new car!

  • Great but slight timing glitch in Nav - 2017 Honda CR V
    By -

Car is great. When nearing a turn with the nav it tells you when you are 1 mile away and 200 ft away, nothing in between. I have already missed a few turns due to this. They should add a 1000ft warning.

Just to give a little history on our prior buyer preferences, we have never owned a Honda and in 2009 looked at a civic for a runabout but did not like the dealers take it or leave it attitude. We have over the past 37 years owned a total of 22 GMC cars and trucks. So to say we are loyal General Motors fans is probably a bit of an understatement. Wife was in the market for a car to replace her current vehicle and had narrowed it down to an Envision or the 2018 Equinox. But to get the options she wanted ,was looking at spending 36 to 42 thousand. She was determined to do it for less than 30. So her idea is to test drive the new CRV 2017. On our way for a weekend at our beach house she decided since it was raining we could take the time to stop at the nearby Honda dealer an test drive the 17 CRV. Drove it, loved it, bought it. I must say it is the only car I have ever driven that I dont look for the speed control as soon as possible. That little engine and cvt feels like it is almost effortless to move this vehicle down the road, but getting over 31mpg in mixed driving . Reminds me of my duramax trucks like it has torque in reserve. Did have an emissions light come on after the first 300 miles took a week for the part to come in but was given a loaner at no charge while it was being fixed. Hopefully that was a rare occurrence and we will get to know the Honda reliability for ourselves. At this point I give the 2017 CRV a thumbs up.

Great car but the voice controls for the radio and navigation aren’t as user friendly as I’d hoped. My F150s voice controls are perfect. Honda’s....not so much.

This car is perfect for a single person, a couple or small family!! I can not find anything wrong with this vehicle. I waited a long time for this car and couldnt be happier! The dealership Kastner Honda was and is awesome!! Very patient with me. Thank you Honda for the perfect car for me!! Acquired 3/31/2017

  • CVT plus turbo lag = poor performance - 2017 Honda CR V
    By -

I really liked everything about the 2017 CRV, materials, comfort, safety features etc. That was until I did a test drive. On the street it felt heavy and somewhat underpowered. On the freeway, it was really bad. The midrange power and torque is really inadequate. If I wanted to speed up, I would press the accelerator and the SUV would start to accelerate but then the CVT "upshifted a gear". I would then have to press the gas pedal further but the same problem would recur again and again. There is no sport mode to make the CVT hold a "gear". This was really bad. The sales person also admitted that theres always a delay with the CVT which is then aggravated by turbo lag plus the CVT always moving "up a gear" making the engine bog down. Great for mileage, bad for driving. My driving is between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as Los Angeles to Mammoth, so there are hills, steep grades and passing. So this SUV is not suitable for my driving conditions and style.

The third CRV Ive owned and the best so far. More cargo space, better gas mileage, nicer interior, quieter, handles better, great package for the price.
